For complete informations about this position opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Our clients Power Generation and Networks division operates in the competitive electricity utilities sector. As a result of significant new business opportunities, they are seeking principal electrical engineers with a range of experience to strengthen our skills across the power transmission and distribution sectors in Scotland. Vacancies exist within our offices across Central Scotland (Glasgow, Perth, Inverness and Aberdeen) This is a contract role for 12 months+
The successful applicants responsibilities will include:
To manage projects in line with our client needs under the supervision of senior engineers. Work as part of a team on large engineering projects. Developing electrical engineering designs Developing client specifications Undertaking feasibility studies Providing technical input into project tenders Project Managing in line with your experience. Be involved in client meetings and discussions when required to support the delivery of our projects.
Applicants should be:
Degree qualified within an Electrical or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent. Ideally working towards gaining Chartered Engineering status and keen to develop their experience towards Chartered status. Experience of working within the Networks distribution sector ideally with exposure to either transmission and or distribution. Some experience of project management including pricing and costing projects. Previous experience of being responsible for managing project under the supervision of senior engineers. Experience of developing electrical engineering design and specification within this sector. Experience of undertaking feasibility studies and involvement in the production of tender documents. Able to demonstrate good inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills Experience of working either independently or as part of a team Have a good level of competency in all Microsoft Office applications, ideally with the aptitude to learn sophisticated computer aided design and analysis software Flexible and willing to travel to other offices and client offices both within the UK and overseas if required. Candidate should possess a full UK driving license.
