Lutech Resources currently seek an Offshore Materials Controller f! or immediate start with our Client’s team in Aberdeen. This role provides an opportunity to work for a prominent Oil & Gas Operator. Contract role for duration of 12 months based on working a 2/3 week rotation.
Summary
As member of Platform team and specialist in own area, plays key role in management of all materials procured, hired, serviced or repaired, stock or non-stock. Responsible for management of materials to support platform maintenance, production or well intervention activities in order to ensure improvement opportunities are identified, supported, realised and in a cost effective manner.
Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure that Material Control activities on offshore Platform fully comply with Company practices, current legislation and safe systems of work.
Material Controller
  • Management of Offshore stores including receipt, control and issue of spares, consumables & equipment.
  • Logistical support necessary for! movement of materials required to and from the installation i! ncluding delivery of materials to work site.
  • Coordination of supply & repair of materials required to support planned and unplanned maintenance & operations work.
  • Maintenance of comprehensive and accurate records of materials transactions and logistics activities.
  • Execution of installation Waste management policy and procedure including accurate documentation of all shipments and ensuring provision of adequate equipment.
  • Optimisation of deck and storage utilisation.
  • Preparation and issue of documentation in accordance with regulations governing the shipment of goods classified by the UN as dangerous for shipment by Air or Sea.
  • Act as focal point for stock suppliers and manage procurement, shelf-life, storage and maintenance of all platform owned sub store and main store equipment, keeping the critical spares holding current.
  • Track all hired equipment providing reports to highlight visibility
  • Maintain vi! sibility of stock and provide reports as required to encourage turnover.
  • Perform annual offshore stock audits and assess the effectiveness of the arrangements in place.
  • Ensuring chemical stocks are maintained in conjunction with Production Dept and Offshore Chemist.
  • Support onshore buyer to expedite all material purchase orders ensuring prompt delivery by air of sea, updating CMMS to reflect realistic delivery dates against work orders.
Requirements
Skills
  • Proven capability in material control functions in an offshore oil & gas environment.
  • Proven capability in measuring & reporting data to deliver performance improvements.
Safety Critical Role
  • Perform in an emergency response role as defined in company procedures, managing & controlling emergencies response action in the event of accidents or incidents
Knowledge
  • Experience of warehousing operations, Stock Managem! ent and Procurement skills, coordinating logistics and the supply of re! sources for planned maintenance activities
  • Systems literate â€" experience of computerised management systems e.g. SAP, Maximo,
  • Computer Literate
Delivery
  • Able to manage own time and apply relevant time management techniques to ensure timely delivery set work activities.
  • Actively exhibits cost conscious and value adding mindset to all that is done.
