Company Description

Our client, a leading company in the construction industry, has an exciting opportunity to join their professional services team at their site in East Leake. As part of the team responsible for purchase ledger activities, you will support various brands across the client's business in the UK & Ireland.

Our client is currently seeking an Accounts Payables Clerk who will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and utilizing digital finance systems. They are looking for individuals with a customer-centric approach and a can-do attitude when dealing with supplier queries. Collaboration and continuous improvement are key values in their department, and they are seeking team players who will contribute to their success.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Assists with the preparation of KPI data and other ad-hoc duties.
  • Reconciles supplier statements and resolves any discrepancies.
  • Identifies and resolves account issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manages and resolves blocked, aged, and debit items in the ledger.
  • Ensures compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Responds to general supplier account queries promptly and positively.
  • Supports internal and external audit visits, including preparing reports and schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role (experience in any industry is acceptable).
  • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Navision, or similar systems is desirable.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
