One of Progressive's good clients is currently searching for a mechanical maintenance manager/superintendent for projects in the Australian market. This particular opening requires a candidate with significant experience on dredging vessels, ideally with direct involvement in their maintenance and management. Someone with a prior work history as a technical superintendent, Vessel Superintendent or Marine dredging superintendent would be extremely desirable.

Reporting to the Works manager, the technical superintendent will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the fleet units, including a number of dredging and supporting vessels.

Requirements:
5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry Minimum two years of experience as a technical superintendent/vessel manager/dredging superintendent Significant Backhoe dredging experience Capacity to work on a FIFO roster (either 2/1 or 4/2) anywhere in the country Available for a start date at the end of July/early August 2012 Background in mechanical or marine engineering

The right candidate will meet these basic requirements and be willing to travel regularly from the office to site. Australian citizenship, PR or valid working VISA is a requirement for this role.
