The Company Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently working with a large and established Financial Services organisation in Edinburgh to recruit an Accountant on a permanent basis. This would suit a fairly newly qualified individual (ideally 1-4 years post qualified) who can work in Edinburgh and has experience of working in either Financial Services or with a blue chip organisation. The Role As Accountant in Edinburgh, key objectives will be to ensure that monthly financial reports and additional analysis is produced for the business unit. Working to tight deadlines, you will work closely with the Divisional Manager on all relevant matters and will be expected to suggest ways of improving processes and efficiencies. You will produce monthly profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, audit files, and financial reports. In addition, you will work with team members from other business units to pull together project related MI for analysis and presentation. As stated, we are looking for a fairly newly qualified Accountant and will not be able to progress applications from candidates who are not qualified. Experience of working in a fast paced finance function is essential as is exposure to large ERP systems (ideally SAP, Oracle or Hyperion). Financial Services experience is desirable but not essential. Salary & Benefits Salary is circa £37 - £40k excluding benefits.
