Options for Independence is a service designed to enable people with physical disabilities living in the community to gain greater levels of independence. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working with people with disabilities and be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of service users. You will be able to p rovide physical, practical and emotional support as directed by the service user or senior staff to a high standard.
Candidates should be qualified to SVQ2/3 level or be prepared to work towards gaining this qualification. An understanding and commitment to service user choice and a person centred approach to support is essential. Opportunities for staff development are promoted through supervision and staff training.
