Location: CQ, Australia, FIFO ex Brisbane
Pay Rate : $140-150k pa plus package which includes FIFO uplifts
All sectors of the engineering and construction industry are ramping up over the next 6-12months within QLD. Be involved with this ramp up through working within the Survey Function of a renowned Engineering & Construction company involved in major civil developments through out the state.
Company
The company has extensive exposure to the energy/resources and civils construction sector happening within Queensland. Due to further expansion and the recent award/start of two major projects they require an experienced Survey Manager to assistant in two live projects in Central QLD that have a combined value of over $250m.
Main Duties
As the Survey Manager you will manage the survey function across two live projects, and will report into State Chief Surveyor and the respective Project Managers of the Projects. You will be responsible for managing/supporting all the survey requirements on the projects, including staffing, managing machine guidance requirements, all data management and data manipulation, such as volumes, and quantities etc, provide other information to management relating to the project survey function, assist with recruitment of further survey resource as the project requires and dictates.
Requirements
The successful candidate will bring to the role;
7 years + Post Grad experience, and ideally hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Land or Engineering Surveying
Previous work history with a top tier main contractor or have had previous experience working on large construction projects through a survey firm
A firm understanding of providing survey functions for earthworks, RC concrete, piling and foundation and pavement works.
A good understanding and demonstrative experience of modern survey instrumentation, including 1 man total stations, GPS, data modelling and manipulation through a survey CAD package.
A good understanding and demonstrative experience in the use of Terra model and 12-d with the ability to manipulate data to a high level
This role is FIFO ex Brisbane on an accommodating and family friendly shift rota - uplifts apply.
Benefits
A package which is in line with the technical nature and demands of the role and projects which includes a base salary of between : $140-150k which includes,9% Super contributions, Survey Vehicle, Assistance with accommodation, assistance with relocation if required + project uplifts/FIFO uplifts.
