Aberdeen/Dyce Role synopsis The Regional Project Deputy PGM is accountable for delivery of assurance, risk & knowledge management, and quality management for the North Sea regional projects. The Deputy PGM works with the functional and delivery managers to: establish common work processes for all CVP stages; drive clarity on expectations and requirements; develop and maintain best-practices, procedures, tools, and templates; provide project advice and coaching; deliver stage-gate integrated assurance reviews; conduct project analysis; and lead continuous improvement action plans. Assures the quality of the North Sea regional projects risk management program (including integration with regional functions) and supports the Leadership Team (LT) in the effective management of portfolio risks. Responsible to implement the NSRP Quality Management System that spans the full project lifecycle. Works with the delivery managers to manage the pool of assurance resources deployed across the organization and maintains the community of practice guiding the professional development of individuals in the areas of project management, risk/knowledge management, and quality management (the BPway.) Actively engages the GPO to shape the Category B Project Delivery System design and works with the NSRP LT to develop the strategy for implementation in the North Sea. Reports to the North Sea Region PGM. Key accountabilities Deliver the annual assurance plan for the North Sea Region Projects in a streamlined, risk-based and proactive manner Integrate all discipline assurance processes to inform areas for improvement and drive cross discipline alignment Conduct project analysis to identify root-causes of systemic performance gaps Assure project compliance with the GPO Category B requirements via the site-specific NSRP handbook and The Way We Work Ensure work process and EPMS contractor interface standard plans and procedures are in place and in alignment with the NSRP handbook for all CVP stages Ensure best practices are in place and consistently followed to drive robust concept selection and achieve best-practical front-end loading to support project execution under Management of No Change Implement a system of leading indicators that inform project target setting, predict expected performance, and identify performance gaps Develop and maintain best practices for the holistic management of risks in support of good quality decisions Leverage learning across the organization by capturing/sharing lessons and engaging internal/external sources of critical knowledge Drive excellence in the NSRP risk management practice and compliance with OMS by assuring project teams systematically and consistently identify & assess key risks and develop response plans with emphasis on prevention and due consideration to contingency plans Work with the Engineering discipline to develop and put in place a Quality Management System to assure project quality of build based on equipment (and/or system) criticality Provide linkage and liaise with GPO for development of the Category B Project Delivery System Drive a culture of excellence across the NSRPT Essential Education Engineering Degree. Essential experience and job requirements Experience in project execution of all CVP stages. Excellent written, verbal communication skills. Ability to influence across various disciplines effectively. Must have a good understanding of Quality Management Principles and BP’s project common process, OMS framework and Assurance practices. Desirable criteria & qualifications Experience on several E&P project of varying sizes across all stages of CVP. Involvement in all major components of a project, from conceptual engineering, preliminary engineering, detail engineering, procurement, fabrication/construction and startup. Prior quality management and assurance experience is very desirable. Relocation available Yes - including international/expat Travel required Yes - up to 10% Is this a part time position?
