Sopra Group is currently looking for a Junior Sales Executive to join our Public Sector and Utilities Sales Team, based in Edinburgh.
! We are looking for an individual who is positive-thinking and proactive, can act on their own initiative and communicate well with internal and external customers.
Experience in a Sales role in the IT Services industry would be an advantage.
Location â€" Edinburgh, but must be willing to travel to client sites and Sopra Group offices throughout the UK.
Main Features of the Role
The role will involve working with our Sales team and assisting them in dealing with existing customer needs and developing new opportunities
Respond to sales leads by working with senior colleagues to recognise prospective customers' business needs and to explore how these can be met by Sopra Group's offerings and services.
Manage existing customer accounts to grow business and create customer references.
Assist in the preparation of proposals for the provision of services in accordance with Sopra Group’s sales policies and procedures.
Assist in the preparation and ! presentation of business cases, invitations to tender and stat! ements of requirements.
Maintain customer contact through the proposals process, respond to queries and identify issues.
Generate sales leads through working with colleagues on mailshots, sales events etc.
Provide reports on sales prospects and progress, customer satisfaction and any market intelligence obtained.
Required Skills
Attention to detail - Applying quality standards to all tasks undertaken and ensuring that nothing is overlooked.
Commercial Orientation - Keeping commercial aspects continually in mind when taking actions or making decisions.
Customer Focus - Understanding the needs of the customer when taking actions or making decisions.
Establishing relationships and maintaining contacts with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Experience of meeting targets and fulfilling agreements in pressured environments and situations.
The ability to quickly gain in-depth knowledge of Sopra Group's offerings and services.
Ex! perience of delivering effective presentations
As this is a client facing role, we would expect candidates to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates must have a positive attitude and be able to show enthusiasm and initiative
