Location: Central Belt Scotland

Our client is a world leading IT company in the Oil and Gas arena and are looking for IT Network Engineers to work in their offshore Field Support team.

Person requirement:

• A good degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or related numerate discipline.
• A desire to travel.
• Comfortable with client / customer facing

Ideal skills sought:

• Practical Linux (command line) and networking experience.
• Knowledge of data communications and basic electrical/electronic engineering.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Ability to work variable periods away from home.
• Ability to work well under pressure in demanding operational environments.

Desirable:

• Work experience in a customer facing or support role.
• Programming or s! cripting experience (e.g. Unix Shell, Perl, XML, SQL).
Experience with GPS, data radio systems
