Due to significant projects upcoming within the business, we are looking for a Site Health, Safety & Environmental Manager - this is a new role overseeing multiple sites. Oil & Gas industry experience is des! irable, however this is a manufacturing operation first and fo! remost and experience from other industries such as Aerospace or Heavy Industry will definitely be considered. Key activities candidates should be experienced with from a QA perspective are welding, fabrication, machining etc. so previous Oil & Gas industry experience is not essential if you have experience in these areas.
The Role
As the site HSE Manager and reporting directly to the Plant Manager you will be part of the senior Management Team and provide HSE support, guidance and management across a multiple site, multiple business location with significant expansion plans and upgrades to infrastructure and equipment taking place.
This challenging role will require all your skills and experience to ensure that activities such as pressure testing, lifting and handling operations, machining, welding and fitting operations and transportation are carried out in a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times. You will work closel! y with the shop floor employees, being actively involved in supporting and guiding them to work more safely and effectively every day so that not only the business benefits, but more importantly, the people do.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level as a minimum, with experience working in an Oil & Gas, engineering, manufacturing (heavy / aerospace etc) or similar environment. Effective communication and drive to find solutions that generate buy-in and ownership are essential.
