Locum Consultant in Anaesthetics

Description: NHS Scotland Recruitment is hiring Locum Consultant in Anaesthetics right now, this occupation will be placed in Scotland. A vacancy has arisen for post of locum Consultant Anaesthetist, based at Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer, Wigtownshire. This will be a 6-month fixed-term contract.
The! post will include fixed sessions in the elective and emergency rota. On-call is currently 1 in 2 Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 weekend, covered by two consultants, supported by a visiting specialty doctor. Locum sessions are occasionally available to support this rota.
Stranraer is located in the South West of Scotland and a wide range of sporting and outdoor activities are available as well as cultural and other facilities. Married or single accommodation could be provided initially.
Prospective candidates will require to be on the GMC Specialist Register and will hold a CCT or be within 6 months of obtaining the certificate, or will be an established Consultant Anaesthetist.
