Property Management Surveyor

One of Blue Arrow's Property Housing Management clients is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Property Management Surveyor to join their team in Edinburgh. You will be responsible for p! roviding a factoring and facilities management service to a complex portfolio of properties and/or developments in both a residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities will include;
1.To manage developments within an allocated portfolio in order to meet business objectives and deliver a superior factoring service to clients.
2.To manage all repairs and maintenance to properties to ensure they are constantly maintained to the highest standard.
3.To negotiate contracts with internal and external suppliers/contractors in order to achieve best value for money.
4.To communicate regularly with a broad range of customers to ensure they receive regular updates on their developments.
5.To carry out monthly stair inspections, presenting findings and recommendations to customers in order to gain approval on repair work to be undertaken.
6.To manage the block and public liability insurance cover and claims for each ! of the developments to ensure that appropriate level of cover ! is maintained.
8.To carry out regular risk assessments and ensure that procedures are in place and followed in order to minimise risk and meet legislative requirements.
9.To provide support to the team in managing the day to day operations of the business to ensure provision of service to clients and increased business revenue.
10.To proficiently use the in-house factoring database to issue and complete work orders and accurately invoice our customers to ensure expenditure fully recovered.
11.To identify planned maintenance and reactive repairs, to common parts of building, positioned at height. This will include identifying works to write clear specification for contractor and carrying out pre-, during and post-inspections. Equipment for access may include ladders, scaffold or cherry picker.
The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications/experience managing several minor projects/contracts simultaneously and being able to! manage regular interruptions effectively with the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure that contracts are completed on time, to the required standard and on budget.
