Resort Sales Department - Permanent Contract

Job Description

Responding to all Group Enquiries within 24 hours and reacting to sales leads.
Managing and converting business before handing over to an Event Planner.
To maximise revenues and create additional revenues, by utilising upselling techniques an all areas of the resort.
To achieve optimum level of occupancy and average room rate to best yield revenue and to ensure budgeted targets are met.
To actively and consistently enrol Starwood Preferred Guest Members to develop brand loyalty and to meet department targets.
To comply at all times with the Reservations European Core Standards and all Hotel standards and procedures.
To attend and participate in the monthly Sales Strategy and Brainstorming meeting, Reservations Feedback meeting and all other departmental activities a! s required.
To handle customer queries and complaints relating to the Reservations Department.
To maintain high levels of guest telephone contact skills while promoting the Hotel, our Restaurants and the Golf and Spa facilities through selling and communication skills.
To deal with faxes, correspondence checking (VIPs, regular guests, SPGs), group allocations and to respond to guest requests on a daily basis.

Position will involve various shifts including working two weekends a month.

5 days over 7
Office Hours will be between 8.30am until 8pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am until 5pm Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

Previous experience with Opera and experience within a reservations environment highly desirable and previous customer service experience essential.
