Our Financial Services client is looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Design Manager that can lead and manage the Infrastructure Solution Design team. This unique rol! e has the responsibility to shape the infrastructure throughout the whole technology function working with diverse business units and programmes across all levels of the organisation.
Responsibilities include
Lead and manage the team of Infrastructure Solution Designers
Liaise different departments to ensure demand and resource availability is agreed and managed
Gain and maintain comprehensive understanding of the processes, principles and standards across the various technology functions to ensure design and estimation alignment and optimised working practices
Support Infrastructure teams in the production and on-going management of engineering and solution roadmaps
Contribute to the direction and continuous improvement initiative of the function
Build effective relationships with peers and business stakeholders.
Participate in the infrastructure design review, technology adoption and architecture revi! ew processes as part of the overall technology governance fram! ework.
Experience and skills required;
Leadership and management of a technology team.
Experience in technology design as part of a broader technology function.
Strong Communication and presentation to Senior Management level
Ability to differentiate between tactical/operational and strategic options
Broad experience of infrastructure technologies.
Ability to lead projects from a design perspective role to assist project managers.
Experience of managing technology vendor relationships and partnerships.
Retains up-to-date knowledge of infrastructure industry trends and developments.
Strategic approach â€" motivated by long term results.
