An international subsea and engineering company with global operations require a Dive System Support Engineer for this staff position in Aberdeen. Candidates must have In-depth! theoretical and practical knowledge of industry, specifically diving systems working practices and be eligible to work in the UK.
Dive System Support Engineer
Job purpose:
- Preparing budget costings and planning schedules for diving system modifications and refits.
- Working to given budgets and schedules for diving systems modifications and refits.
- Hierarchically reports to: Project & Technical Manager
- Operationally reports to: Lead Dive Systems Superintendent
- Directly supervises: N/A
- Review diving equipment reports from vessels and evaluate information received
- Prepare and review diving equipment specifications as required in accordance with relevant legislation
- Under the direction of the Lead Dive Systems Superintendent ! you shall assist in technical matters in other engineering pro! jects as requested
- Liaise with Asset Delivery and others to provide advice regarding:
- Diving equipment and systems
- Liaise and assist vessel crew to ensure:
- Maintenance is being carried out on the diving systems to the required Company standards and planned maintenance routines are accurate and suitable for the required task
- Adequate technical advice is given concerning the diving systems
- That adequate spares are available for the diving systems on each vessel
- When required, you will be required to liaise with Certification Authorities to ensure:
- Statutory requirements are completed within the time window given
- Surveyors are supplied with the appropriate level of information for the intended survey/workscope
- Liaise with stores or 3rd party suppliers to ensure:
- Timely forwarding of critical spares and equipment
- Liaise with the Business Management System Administrator to! :
- Ensure the accuracy of the technical documentation within the Business Management System
- Provide new and updated procedures that reflect operational practices
- Perform your role in compliance with the Business Management System (BMS)
- Any other duties as required by Dive Systems Superintendent
Must have:
- City & Guilds / HNC in mechanical or electrical / electronic discipline
- In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of industry, specifically diving systems working practices
- Working and practical knowledge of Company assets
- Regulatory requirements of Lloyds, DNV, IMCA
- Degree qualified in mechanical or electrical / electronic discipline
- Previous operational role maintaining / upgrading diving systems
Required for position:

- Maintain responsibility and accountability through personal commitment and behaviour.
- Maintain behavior in compliance with HSES requirements.
- Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk.
- Willingness to accept responsibility and be held accountable when directed to perform certain duties and be acceptable to developing towards a more senior role.
- Reinforce and strengthen the HSES culture at every opportunity in operations and projects.
