Their aim is to develop and deliver tailored, quick to install, easy to use and cost-effective information solutions for balance sheet management. Clients include over 60% of UK Building Societies and over 40 UK regulated banking firms. The software is used to manage market liquidity and capital risk for many hundreds of billions of financial assets, liabilities and derivatives.
The company is proud of its track record of installing software solutions successfully and work closely with their clients to train and support their staff in order to maximise the benefits of their system. THE ROLE: Financial Systems Analyst As a result of on-going growth within the company and expanding customer base, they are looking to recruit a Financial Systems Analyst, to join their small, dedicated team to support the company's growing client base using their in-house software applica! tion and software development activities. The main focus of th! e role will be to assist the company's existing clients in using the software and related products and supporting them to make the best use of the software. Key Responsibilities: - Software implementation and client support Help clients implement and integrate the company software with a banks underlying system infrastructure Assist clients run and reconcile financial risk reports Assisting clients develop customised financial risk reporting packs using the excel based report writer Assist clients use software to develop financial forecasts, plans and proprietary financial models Communication with customers through newsletters and client webinars Software development tasks: Assist with the development process by setting up specific testing routines Documentation of new developments THE CANDIDATE: The successful applicant will ideally come from a finance background and have a keen interest in both finance and financial modelling, with good communication skills and an abilit! y to understand or develop knowledge in IT.
You should ideally have a degree in Accountancy and Finance or Financial Risk Management and an enthusiasm for Bank Risk Management. Whilst we are not looking for specific experience in this sector, the successful candidate will probably have a minimum of 2 / 3 years relevant experience gained within a financial and or banking environment and must be able to demonstrate practical experience of finance / IT work. This role would ideally suit an applicant who has already gained full CIMA accreditation or those wishing to become a Management Accountant or Corporate Treasurer and full assistance, support and encouragement will be given to achieve these accreditations.
