Base Administrator - Edinburgh Airport - part time 75%

An opportunity has arisen within the Flight Operations team as a Base Administrator. This role is to provide administrative support at Edinburgh Airport to ensure the effective running of the base. You will be conducting various duties supporting flight crew and cabin crew.

In this role key responsibilities include:
Providing admin support to the Procurement department in relation to hotel, travel and transport contracts.

Providing recruitment support to the Cabin Services department including: coordinating selection days & interviews, preparing candidate packs for offer stage.

Manage the ordering/cancelling of: airside security passes, car park passes, and administer the Criminal Record Check (CRC) process for EDI based Flight Crew, Cabin Crew and Engineering staff.

Administer the absence management process for flight crew to assist the Flight Crew Executive in effectiv! e absence control.

Ordering and maintaining adequate ! supply of stationery and other necessary materials.

Conduct base inductions for new employees.

General administrative duties include arranging travel and accommodation & note taking at meetings.

Please note this role is offered on part time basis working 28.13 hours per week,

Hours : Part Time 75%

Role : Permanent

Remuneration : 17,308 - 21,635 per annum - pro rata

Skills and Qualifications:
You should possess previous experience as an administrator, you will need to have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative. Previous airline experience and working remotely would be an additional advantage.

Experience as a proven team administrator working effectively to deadlines

Experience of administering paper and electronic filing systems

Experience of booking travel - flights, hotels, car hire, trains etc.

Experie! nce of working in the airline industry

Experience of working to audit standards and conducting self-audits

Proficient in computer/word processing/e-mail skills (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes)

Basic knowledge of office procedures

Knowledge of the CRC process and applications for restricted area ID passes

Experience of working within the following departments: cabin crew and engineering
