We've an exciting opportunity for a Senior Audit Manager - Human Resources, to join our Group Internal Audit division at The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, based in Edinburgh. It’s a critical role to support the significant! changes in HR that the Group's facing, combined with the challenges arising from regulatory developments in areas such as remuneration.
Group Finance includes central finance areas, specialist teams and divisional finance teams which support our front-line businesses. Our specialist teams are; Global Finance Services, Group Chief Accountant's, Group Corporate Finance, Group Finance Business and Executive Support, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, Group Internal Audit, Group Strategy, Group Tax, Group Treasury, and Investor Relations. Our divisional teams are; Business Services Finance, Corporate Banking Finance, Markets and International Banking (M&IB), Non-Core and APS Finance, and Retail, Wealth and Ulster (RWU) Finance.
An integral part of Group Finance, Group Internal Audit is located across the globe with over 600 employees providing executive management with opinions on how their businesses are managing risks. These activities include the manag! ement and divestment of non-core assets, and global management! of operational, regulatory, credit and market risks. Group Internal Audit’s responsibility is to help the Group return to standalone strength and respond quickly and effectively to challenges.
As a Senior Audit Manager - HR, you’ll deliver this portfolio of audits using the GIA methodology, interacting with other audit teams and clients in various HR functions across the Group. You’ll also provide assurance on the control model for Group HR, including the HR Shared Services, Group Reward and Business Services functions. We've a small HR audit team, therefore a high level of autonomy and responsibility will be given to you from day one. You'll play a pivotal role in developing the HR audit team and building strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Not only will you be dealing with complex processes, but you'll also be operating in an environment that’s under increased scrutiny from global regulators whilst being subject to unprecedented change program! mes. You'll also travel between Edinburgh, Manchester and London, and potentially overseas.
To be successful as a Senior Audit Manager - HR, you'll need to have extensive knowledge of auditing HR functions, identifying and assessing HR risks, using best practice to evaluate and test mitigating controls. You'll also need to have experience of managing teams to deliver multi-location audits to demanding deadlines. Naturally, you'll have excellent interpersonal skills to fostering proactive relationships and provide robust challenge on risk and control processes. Financial services experience is an advantage, however if you currently work in a global business we'd also be interested to hear from you.
