Long term contract 6 120 months
Rate £34.53 per hour
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Telecoms Engineer to embark on a long term contract ranging from 6 months to 10 years. The role will be ! working for a major oil and gas organisation based in Fife.
The Field Telecoms Engineer is required to provide a dedicated service to the Fife NGL Plant, ensuring the delivery, integrity and security on a wide range of systems and services.
Responsibilities will include - Plant UHF and VHF radio services, hand portables, jetty PA system, Security systems including access control systems, emergency mustering, security power fencing and analogue CCTV systems, Management and maintenance of the Emergency Control Centre communications systems, Voice services including, Hazardous area telephones, pagers, mobiles, and video/voice conferencing, 24 hr on-call support for all essential services, Plant Telemetry systems carrying high integrity process data, Data network infrastructure including LAN/WAN connectivity, Weather systems supporting ship loading, Local support of desktop and network services, Provide corrective and preventative support for related systems, Provision ! of spare parts and materials for fault repairs within service ! level., Plan and implement onsite project work funded by the business, Comply with Plants SLA fault response criteria, Compliance with ISSOW Permit to Work system.
Installation work will include - All Telephone and LAN moves and changes, Service requests evaluation, planning and installation, customer support and consultancy, Engineer solutions for minor site projects, Evaluating and installing new systems and services, Apply continuous improvement strategy to maximise service delivery quality, Proactively identify and implement cost reduction opportunities, On site focal point and interface for ISC delivered projects, Provide input to site activity plan on systems that impact on Plant operations and Execute capacity planning for existing and new services based on trends and customer supplied data.
The ideal candidate will have similar experience and hold minimum - HND or equivalent in telecommunications / electrical engineering or similar.
