FMC Kongsberg Services Ltd has a position vacant for a HSE Advisor. If you are interested in taking on a challenging role in a demanding environment then this could be the position for you.
The role will be ba! sed out of our Wellington Circle site in Aberdeen, within the QHSE department and will report directly to QHSE Manager.
1. RESPONSIBILITY:
To maintain and continually improve the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management system within the Aberdeen Base, to meet company HSE policies, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and government HSE legislation;
Provide support to all departments on HSE related matters.
2. AUTHORITY:
Stop an unsafe act;
Stop internal process activity or external sub-contract activity being preformed on behalf of the company, where specified HSE requirements have or are not being met;
3. MAIN TASKS:
Ensure that the HSE management system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with company HSE polices, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and applicable HSE legislation;
Report on the performance of the HSE management system to management;
Report to management on change to legal and ! other HSE requirements that are applicable to the company;
Perform measurement and reporting of agreed HSE Objectives and KPI’s;
Document, monitor and progress closure of unwanted acts and conditions raised (Quality Notification Z4);
Participate in management rig/site inspections;
Perform HSE incident investigation and reporting to establish root causes and implement corrective action to prevent re-occurrence;
Develop and establish HSE Risk Assessments;
Develop, establish and maintain HSE processes/procedures;
Establish and maintain project specific HSE Plans;
Chair HSE committee meetings;
Member of Aberdeen Base crisis management team;
Liaise with other FMC entities on HSE matters both in the UK and abroad;
Liaise between Fluid Control Division (FCD) and FKSL on all HSE matters;
Liaise with HR/Training department in the development and implementation of HSE training;
Liaise with government agencies an! d others on HSE matters;
4. MANDATORY SW-APPLICATIONS TO BE MANAGED :
Microsoft Office
SAP
5. RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
NEBOSH National General Certificate â€" level 3 in Occupational Health & Safety (minimum);
HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
Relevant work experience in a senior HSE role within FMC Technologies Subsea or similar business;
Auditor/Lead Auditor experience covering auditing of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Management Systems. (IRCA certified training as Auditor/Lead Auditor preferable);
Trained and experienced in (HSE) hazard identification, risk assessment and determining controls in a medium to heavy engineering industry.
Strong communication & organisation skills;
Good PC skills;
