My client is a market leading oil field services company and is an extensive provider of Drilling & Completion Fluids. They have been at the forefront of the development of such technologies over the past decade, and aim to decrease costs, risk and increase reservoir productivity for its customers. They are currently running operations globally and key clients consist of the largest operators within the industry.
THE ROLE
The role is a Technical Manager - Drilling & Completion Fluids reporting to the Global Product Line Manager and will be based in Aberdeen. A successful candidate will provide the vital link between product lines and laboratories ensuring technical sales opportunities are optimised. They will make key decisions and deliver effective Fluid solutions to customers and assisting them in maximizing well bore productivity. ! They have to maintain the current customer base and will also ! play a fundamental role in winning new business.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The client is looking for an individual with a proven track record of success in the Oil & Gas sector who possesses:
- 4 years experience within the oil & gas industry
- An extensive knowledge of Drilling Fluids, Completion Fluids and Environmental Complience
- Track record of successfully implementing Drilling Fluid & Completion solutions
- Strong fluids testing and laboratory knowledge
- Experience of Remediation Systems, Formation Damage, HPHT and High Performance Water Based Mud
- Experience working in a Technical or supervisory position
- P & L experience
- Operations experience, preferably off shore
- Have excellent business acumen with the ability to create, develop and nurture relationships with Contractors, Service companies and Operators
