We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations specialist to become part of one of Scotland’s largest industries, working for a company steeped in heritage dating back to as early as 1749.

This role will be based at Moray House in Elgin, which is part of the Diageo Europe Supply Malt Distilling and Maturation arm of the business and is responsible for the production of Malt Whisky, associated barley requirements, co-products and warehousing operations across Scotland.

About the role:
This role is in the Employee Relations Team, part of the HR Shared Service Centre wh! ich enables and supports the HR Business Partners in the deliv! ery of their business objectives. It is the operational and consultative arm of the Diageo HR Organisation providing a full professional service on Employee Relations Case Management for our Scotland base workforce.

The purpose of the role will be to support the business to maintain a healthy and productive Employee Relations (ER) Climate, by providing a professional service to Line Managers, HR Business Partners, and Senior Stakeholders in all aspects of Individual ER Case Management and Absence Management Processes for specific geographic business areas. This specialist role will help people to acquire in-depth expertise in all aspects of individual end-to-end ER case management

Main responsibilities:
·

Provide leadership in all aspects of individual ER case management.

·

Provide policy advisory service to employees and line managers and to ensure compliance and that any policy exceptions are justified.

·!

Provide advice on the implementation and interpretation of HR policies and processes. Coach and train line managers to follow our core people processes and policies.

Promote the HR Shared Service model at a local level and ensure agreed customer service levels for all of our core services are met.

Key skills/experience:
·

Degree and/or CIPD qualified or equivalent in-depth experience.

·

Previous experience of ER case management â€" either as an HR professional or as an experienced people manager.

·

Some previous experience in a customer orientated environment and of resolving service issues.

·

Knowledge and application of UK HR Policies and Employment Law.

·

Experience of managing ER or other HR projects

·

Comfortable working with IS systems
