This is an exciting role working within a greenfield project as our client has recently re-located their IT base from London to Glasgow. This will allow the ideal candidate to play a leading role in providing programming and system analysis to a range of internal IT projects. (.NET C#)
Main Objectives:
- Define requirements with the Business Analyst and Customer
- Design and document the Technical Architecture to an agreed standa! rd and format
- Plan the development lifecycle stages
- Develop and implement the solution within the firm, working within firm coding standards, practices and procedures
- Manage resources assigned to you
- Regularly update interested parties on progress
- Provide 3rd level support to commercial, in house developed and n-tier commercial off the shelf applications
- Mentoring and supporting the development of other team members.
- Extensive technical development experience including hands on development and implementation of enterprise scale, web based applications
- Intranet application development; understanding of design, performance and security requirements
- N-tier applications architecture
- Design/development and implementation of enterprise scale relational databases (MSSQL)
- Experience working with third party API's and web services
- IIS configuration
- Formal software development techniques, includi! ng structured system design, testing and QA processes
- ASP.NET, AJAX, ASP, VBscript, Javascript, DHTML and CSS
- MVC and MVP patterns
- C# v3.5 or later
- LINQ and Entity Framework
- XML/XSL
- SharePoint 2007 or later
- Windows Workflow Foundation
- Windows Communication Foundation
- MS SQL Server 2005 or later
- Unit testing
- Service Oriented Architecture
- Visual Studio 2010 or later
- Experience of using a code version control system
- Familiarity with RAD and AGILE techniques
