We’re seeking reliable, energetic, and hardworking Kitchen Assistant with a keen eye for detail to join our team at Mr Fox, Croydon.
As Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the chefs in basic food preparation and aid in keeping the kitchens clean and tidy.
This is a part time position, normal hours of work include daytimes, evenings, weekdays and weekend working. Adding up to around 40-45 hours a week.
Ideally you will have experience of working in a restaurant, bar or hotel and not be afraid to get stuck in. We are a busy restaurant, with a small team and have a fast pased environment.

You must be based locally, have the right to work in the UK and be able to start before christmas.

Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and food production in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency and quality of food
- Help with cooking, baking, grilling, and other food preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic food safety practices and procedures
- Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen setting is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed
