Job Purpose
To act as the focal point within VWOL PFIs for capital project design, procurement and delivery issues. To plan, implement and operate within the assigned budget and to respond to all project or operational problems To be responsible for the commissioning of the project plant and all associated works so as to meet all statutory, regulatory and operational targets as defined within the asset management strategy. To ensure all Statutory Regulatory, Quality and Safety policies and regulations are satisfied, and that all company policies are implemented and maintained to the required standard. To liaise with Team Leaders / Asset Manager / Capital and Projects personnel, to ensure project work is carried out safely and promptly, at least cost to the business. To train or facilitate training of all appropriate staff on the operation of any new plant or equipment provide by the project work (including any changes to existing operating practice needed as a result of project implementation Support the development of and lead elements in the implementation of project delivery strategy. Accountability and responsibility for the management of all sub contractors completing project delivery activities Support the Capital Delivery Manager. To research and evaluate solutions to technical problems, and to formulate project plans for procurement and implementation of agreed projects as directed by the Capital Delivery Manager.
Degree qualified in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent (consideration will be given to relevant experience) Knowledge of cross skills essential. A proven track record in a supervisory/leadership role. Extensive experience in the waste water industry Knowledge of ATEX and DSEAR regulations Knowledge of health and safety legislation. Formal qualifications in health and safety would be advantageous. High level of verbal and written communication skills required Familiar with Microsoft office packages. Formal project management qualifications would be advantageous.
