Description: Energy Resourcing is employing Subsea Project Engineer (Mechanical Equipment) right now, this job will be placed in Scotland. A vacancy is immediately available for a Subsea Project Engineer (Mechanical Equipment) to support the team in delivering the Project. This full-time role will report to the Project Manager within a large multi-discipline team. The role offers the opportunity to join the team shaping Mon-Arb Area Redevelopment (MAR), through Detailed Design, Procurement and Execute phase. The Subsea scope includes the multi-well tie backs of the HP/HT Cayley gas condensate and Shaw oil fields to a new bridge linked platform at Montrose. The project is due to complete in 2015.

This role is full time based in Aberdeen. From time to time, the successful candidate may work offshore during the construction phases, on subsea construction vessels and Montrose platforms in the UKCS.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be to fulfil role of Subsea Project Engineer (Mechanical Equipment) with a secondary role supporting the Senior Project Engineer responsible for delivering a range of 5 subsea structures. The successful candidate will be the single point of contact and responsible for the ‘package management’ of a range of orders for subsea equipment, including subsea valves, piping, flanges and fittings. The project includes 7 planned subsea wells, five subsea structures including two drill centre manifolds.

Take a lead role in the package management and delivery of subsea valves, pipe, flanges and fittings in accordance with project designs and specifications;

  • Have a knowledge of relevant industry regulations, codes and standards for UKCS subsea projects;
  • Conduct work in an environment of high performance management;
  • Provide detailed and accurate status reports on the progress of equipment procurement, manufacturing and delivery;
  • Identify and manage Engineering Queries, Interface Requests, Management of Change, Risks and Opportunities associated with procurement and equipment manufacturing, delivery and installation;
  • As a secondary role, provide subsea project engineering support to the Engineering and Fabrication of the subsea structures;
  • Promotion of safe and environmentally sound working practices within area of responsibility.
  • The candidate will have strong skills in the technical, contractual and commercial management of contractors.
  • Responsible for ensuring the required HSE/OI & QA expectations and requirements are defined and met by contractors
Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will hold an engineering degree and will have relevant experience in the UK North Sea.
