The Lean Six Sigma Blac! k Belt reports to the Master Black Belt. In this role, the Black Belt will focus on driving continuous improvement and lean six sigma projects within the Products and Projects P&L. This role will be delegated the responsibility for driving the Lean Six Sigma strategy, as the organization improves its operating performance.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead the Lean Six Sigma strategy, focusing on continuous improvement (CI) and Lean Six Sigma projects.
Work cross-functionally between the Subsea teams to resolve quality issues and drive long-term quality improvements.
Work with the customers to gain real-time âVoice of Customerâ (VOC). Become a strong advocate for the customer.
Support implementation of the appropriate Quality Management System (QMS) changes across the P&L and functions to ensure compliance.
Drive continuous improvement processes and procedures, to include Root Cause Analysis (RCAs), and audit effective! ness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Per! form duties as an internal quality auditor and RCA leader.
Train, coach, and mentor green belts.
Reduce the P&L Cost of Quality (COQ)
Lead Lean Action Work-Outs.
Act as an advisor to the Quality Leader on matters related to processes and procedures.
Promote the Quality message, both internally and externally.
Lead by example.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree.
Significant experience in manufacturing, technical, services, or quality roles with significant customer facing experiences.
Ability to read and interpret contracts, engineering drawings, product specifications, industry codes, and ISO regulations.
Ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, and diverse audiences, including suppliers and internal/external customers.
Ability to travel internationally.
Six Sigma Green Belt certified. (GE employees! only)
Desired Characteristics
MBA or other post graduate degree.
Professional quality certifications.
Familiarity with Oil & Gas Industry.
Have credibility and be well networked for influence ⦠able to open doors.
Demonstrated ability to function as a proactive change agent, passionate about quality and customer loyalty.
RCA/troubleshooting experience with ability to drive significant culture changes.
Proven attention to detail, with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and personal organization skills.
Capable of analyzing data to make sound decisions on suitability and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
Excellent project management and facilitation skills.
Proficiency in software applications MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with Oracle, GE GenSuite and SupportCentral is a benefit.
Self-motivated, self-sta! rter capable of remaining flexible to changing work priorities.
Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written).
Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines, with the ability to bring assignments to a successful completion.
