Our Technology Services Apprenticeships Scheme is a great opportunity for school or college leavers to join a structured development programme, and springboard your career within the Technology Services division of the! Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Group.
Based in Edinburgh, this 2 year programme will provide you with an induction plan, and focussed training and development initiatives through a series of planned activities and placements. Working with the Application Development team, you will have the opportunity to undertake appropriate professional qualification(s) as part of your development.
By the end of the programme, it is envisaged that projects you have contributed to will be part of the day to day running of the organisation giving you valuable hands-on development experience.

Start Date: 3rd December 2012
To be considered for the Programme, you must have Standard Grade (or equivalent) English, Maths and Computing (or a Science) at Credit Level, plus an additional three Standard Grades in any subject at Level 3, or above.
You will be able to demonstrate a clear interest in working with IT and technology, and will clearly be able to articulate why you wish to pursue a career within the RBS Technology Services division.
To succeed in this role, you must also be able to demonstrate: -
Willingness to learn and pursue professional qualifications.
Evidence of self-study and a structured approach to learning, and preparing for exams.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to work as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills, with ability to prioritise tasks.
High attention to detail.
Ability to ma! ke decisions.
Please note: if you have already completed a Higher Education course such as a Degree or a HND, you will not be applicable for this role due to the fact that you have already received some form of government funding.
