SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - FRONT END
You will keep yourself abreast of the market, challenge the leading thinkers in the industry, and want to be at the heart of a nimble team, quickly turning ideas and emerging technologies into respected products.
You will have a sound knowledge of modern front-end web development techniques, including expert knowledge of essential web development skills - HTML in various standards up to HTML5; CSS and JavaScript.
You will also be up to speed on platforms and methodologies including jQuery, MVC frameworks, source control, client-side optimisation, caching and particularly how to apply these modern standards to a wide array of platforms and devices â€" mobile, TV, tablets and emerging technologies.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - BACK END
Ideally possessing a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and with a proven track record of building compelling and robust applications i! n the web or mobile environment, you’ll work with industry-standard software and tools to create the applications which will continue to extend our digital reach.
Possessing relevant PHP and MySQL skills, you will also have a grasp of emerging technologies. In addition you will have experience of MVC frameworks such as CodeIgniter, or Zend, and object-oriented design principles. A knowledge of the LAMP stack, hosting and system maintenance is a plus, as well as experience of delivering very high-traffic, high-volume pages with a close eye on performance optimisation and uptime.
You will also have experience of working with API’s and Web Services; as well as knowledge of source control and deployment techniques.
