Senior Analyst
Location: Edinburgh Scotland

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Analyst to join an established team within our reputable financial services client in Edinburgh on a permanent basis.
Purpose:
Working within a small team, t! he purpose of this role will be to produce efficient and effective information and analysis for stakeholders. Providing daily and monthly forecasting support to the business; extracting and interpreting complex data whilst developing analysis and forecasting capabilities for the team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Providing complex analytical advice and recommendations to the business
Delivering day to day support for own business area and analytical projects
Delivering focussed management information, product insight, and data analysis
Operating and developing models - maintaining, recommending and implementing improvements
Managing and minimising operational risks
Liaising with stakeholders - sourcing data and information to enable timely recommendations and advice
Clarifying requirements for the purpose of optimising business results with stakeholders
Key skills / Experience
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Comprehensive ! knowledge of modelling, statistical tools, performance analysi! s
Tenacity in respect of information gathering
Sound understanding & knowledge of translating and analysing complex financial data
Financial services background preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication skills with Senior Management, both verbal & presentation.
Excellent IT / systems skills - including SAS, SQL and Advanced Excel
Ability to understand business requirements and provide incite
