The Corporate Finance Advisory division advises clients on acquisitions, disposals, valuation and capital raising. The practice is supported through a matrix structure by a number of regional teams focussed on specific geographies, specialist industry teams with deep sector expertise and functional specialist teams covering areas such as valuations, quoted lead advisory and fund placement. Clients include management teams, private equity funds and corporate clients undertaking M&A activity, typically in the £10m to £1bn market value range.
The Corporate Finance Advisory team in Scotland is a leading player in the market place. In the last number of years it has originated and executed a number of significant and high profile transactions. On the back of this success it is looking to expand the team.
Respon! sibilities
As an Assistant Manager you will have responsibility for:
Working across the Scotland and NI region on a range of transactions
Assisting in processing a transaction which includes preparation of information memoranda, management presentations, valuation analysis and day to day management of information and client communications
Industry research for both deal origination and transaction analysis
Valuation work
Modelling of private equity deals
Assisting in both external and internal marketing
The role often involves working to tight deadlines and working on highly sensitive projects.
Requirements
To qualify for the role you must have:
CA (or equivalent) qualification (not essential depending on other experience)
2:1 degree with strong A’ level results (or equivalent)
Exposure to and enthusiasm for M&A
Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
Highly numerate with keen a! ttention to detail and the ability to absorb quickly large amounts of d! ata
Client focus, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to undertake detailed financial/commercial analysis for inclusion in expert reports
Strong team player, capable of assuming different roles, concerned with developing others and building and maintaining effective relationships
Strong commercial acumen/market awareness
About the Corporate Finance Service Line
The Corporate Finance practice at Deloitte advises clients ranging from multi-national corporates, to private equity, owner managed businesses, creditors, shareholders and governments.
