Well Completions Engineer

A globally renowned Operator is looking for up to 4 Completions Engineers to join their Well Operations Teams in Aberdeen.
Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will be tasked with the following:
- Support OU/ Project feasibility studies.
- Develop completion concepts.
- Support OU inflow optimisation & outflow modelling studies.
- Develop preferred completion design.
- Carry out preliminary design engineering (including rock strength analysis, drill in fluid compatibility studies).
- Optimise completion cost and schedule.
- Develop contr! act strategy.
- Liaise with projects on interfaces.
- Support rig selection.
- Undertake detailed design engineering review.
- Specify & procure completion equipment.
- Compile information for regulatory permits & well examination.
- Manage completion contractor interfaces (including expediting & QA).
- Compile detailed completion programmes, supported by relevant specialists.
- Coordinate completion training, simulations, risk assessments etc.
- Monitor drilling operations in order to fully optimise final completion design.
- Provide onshore support (Daily Operational Plan & MOPS review, engineering analysis, problem resolution, cost & performance tracking etc) during completion operations.
- Provide offshore support as agreed.
- Compile & distribute handover documentation.
- Carry out post well review & reporting.
- Support production post audit (inflow review).
- Provide completion-related problem resolution (well integrity, produced fluids, operability issues etc).
- Seek feedback to optimise completion design.
- Support intervention planning as required.
- Provide production optimisation support as required.
Miscellaneous
- Ensure completion design & operations comply with the clients polices and procedures and statutory requirements.
- Develop & comply with key processes (Maxwell).
- Research, identify and evaluate new technology opportunities.
- Share completion lessons learned across North Sea BU.
- Collaborate with Upstream Technology on continuous improvement of completion design.
- Represent the client at completion industry forums as required.
- Mentor junior engineers in completion design & engineering.
Providing completion and production engineering suppo! rt to Well Operations, OUs and Projects in order to optimize life cycle! completion design & production performance safely and economically.
Provide support to:
A. OU as required during Prospect Generation phase.
B. Well Team during Well Planning, Operations Planning & Execution.
C. OUs during production to provide completion related problem resolution & production optimizing.
D. Intervention planning as required.
Ensure completion design:
A. Meets the well objectives.
B. Complies with standards and legislation.
C. Is optimized for the full well life cycle.
Also:
Carry out full review of completion design and execution- mechanical design and production post audit- to ensure continuous improvement.
Ensure synergy capture and experience transfer within NSBU and globally.
Develop & implement key processes.
Identify, evaluate and develop new completion technology.
