Our client is well known in the oil and gas industry and is currently looking to expand their team with the introduction of a new Commercial Contracts Specialist to be based in Aberdee! n. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing contractual advice to all Business Units with respect to tenders.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the mitigation of contractual risk through tailoring of contract Terms & Conditions for Clients & Suppliers.
- Advise on the commercial aspect of contracts where relevant
- Draft, Review and Negotiate Contracts for Clients & Suppliers.
- Ensure Company is compliant with contract process and strategy
- Manage disputes and litigations with clients and suppliers as they arise
- Raise contractual awareness of client and supplier facing personnel, through training
- Build and maintain positive and constructive working relationships with internal and external customers
- Ensure application of quality management principles maintaining quality standards
- Evaluate commercial performance and make recommendations for improvement
The successful candidate will have demonstrated impeccable technical credentials, excellent communication skills and be a team player and a self-starter.
The successful candidate will have
- Legal experience post qualification as a lawyer with specific focus on commercial contracts
- Contracts management experience ideally gained in the Oil & Gas industry
- Ideally a tertiary qualification in business, law or finance
- Good organisational and communications skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities.
