Description: NORTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL is hiring School Crossing Patroller (8 Posts) right now, this position will be placed in Scotland. Further informations about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. NLC2 £6.7665 - £8.3143 per hour (pro rated to reflect term-time working)
(The basic pay will be enhanced by a supplement to ensure pay equals the ‘Living Wage’ of £! 7.20 per hour)
School Crossing Patrollers are required in the following areas: -
Post 1: Alexander Street/Caledonian Road, Wishaw (7.50 hours)
Post 2: Castlehill Road/Smith Avenue, Wishaw (3.75 hours)
Post 3: North Area (Cumbernauld/Airdrie/Coatbridge) (2 Posts) (8.75 hours)
Post 4: South Area (Bellshill/Motherwell/Wishaw/Shotts) (4 posts) (8.75 hours)
You will be responsible for providing and ensuring control of and safe passage of pedestrians, particularly children, across the road. Post number 3 and 4 will provide a mobile back-up service.
You must have good road sense and enjoy working with children and other members of the public. A pleasant nature with good communication skills and a good sense of community spirit is essential. You must also be able to work on your own initiative.
The ability to work in all weather conditions is also essential. Full training and a protective uniform w! ill be provided.
You will require to become a Protect! ing Vulnerable Group Scheme (PVG) member prior to starting this post.
