Tendering Engineer Quantity SurveyorOur Client based in the Glasgow Area has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join their expanding team This! is a permanent position with a salary in the region of pound 30k pound 38k plus benefits The RoleTo facilitate and coordinate the production of cost estimates and tender documentation including the preparation of Bills of Quantities Activity Schedules required to deliver the Civil Electrical or Underground CableOverhead Line construction works for major electrical transmission projects in accordance with client Procedures Liaise with Engineering Delivery and other project stakeholders to deliver accurate compliant and consistent Invitation to Tender Packs whilst providing commercial governance advice support and incorporating Lessons Learned throughout the project life cycle The Project Portfolio will range from New Build Replacement Refurbishment of TransmissionDistribution Electrical Networks with values ranging from pound 100k to pound 40million with the possibility of supporting Renewables and Generation projects at a later dateSkills Experience Proven experience in te! nderingestimating in an engineering and construction environme! nt Proven working experience of CESMM3 4 Knowledge of procurement processes used in the engineering and construction industry Working knowledge of FIDIC and NEC3 conditions of contract Knowledge of HSQE legislation related to construction projects particularly CDM Regs PC knowledge of Microsoft applications significant experience of MS Excel Knowledge of specification design maintenance construction and commissioning of either civil electrical or overhead line and cable works Proven ability to lead and work in a team environment Proven negotiation and influencing skills Willingness to learn new skills out with own specialist areaQualificationsProven experience in tenderingestimating Civil or Electrical works in the utility sector HND Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline or equivalent experienceAccountabilities Produce Cost PlanEstimates to develop budgetary levels based on agreed framework rates for the project portfolio Prepare Bills of Quantity act! ivity pricing schedules and definition of prices taking into account technical specifications scope of work documentation design drawings site information project costs and programmes according to client standards and specifications Incorporate lessons learned from contracts site disseminating necessary information when necessary Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and in a team consisting of Project Management Construction Manager Design Purchasing Civil Electrical Overhead Line Cable Safety Quantity Surveyors Quality and Environmental staff Provide technical support and advice to Project and Site management teams and interface with contractors where requested Liaise directly with Engineering Design Project management Site management HSQE and Purchasing departments to gather all necessary information to compile accurate Bills of Quantity Activity Pricing schedules Carry out effective reviewhandover meetings from predeliveryengineering to tender to construction s! taff Provide consistency in the process Maintain database of cost plans! estimates and tender documentation Network cost tool for trend and analysisKey WordsTendering QS Quantity Surveyor Project Management Construction Manager Design Purchasing Civil Electrical Overhead Line Cable Safety Quality and Environmental CESMM3 estimatingSkillsTendering Quantity SurveyorQualificationsHND DegreeKeywordsTendering QS Quantity Surveyor Project Management Construction Manager Design Purchasing Civil Electrical Overhead Line Cable Safety Quality and Environmental CESMM3 estimating
