Our prominent and highly regarded retail banking client! has an opportunity for a senior risk systems analyst to join a growing risk systems function. The role offers an opportunity for a highly capable analyst to carve out a career that will have a substantial input into major programmes of work currently on-going. Initially, the role holder will work to help develop and implement the credit risk decision engines for our client’s new credit card platform. The role can be based in Edinburgh or Newcastle. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the design, development and ongoing maintenance of a single, common risk infrastructure to integrate policies and customer experience across products and risk disciplines
• Being a point of contact for the Risk Leadership Team, and other leaders across the wider business, and offer subject matter expertise on risk infrastructure to fully assess requirements and to ensure solutions are fully supported with appropriate training development
• Play a key role i! n the establishment of a skilled team of SMEs that have the sk! ills to assess and evaluate current, and future state, risk systems and hardware against established and emerging industry practices
• Coaching and mentoring of analysts across analytics to develop skills and knowledge so to encourage an engaged, energised and motivated team
• Defining the Risk MI & reporting testing strategy and approach. Where appropriate oversee the test activity within the respective projects

To be considered for this role, candidates need to be able to demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:

• Experience of strategic projects in a Risk driven environment performing a systems analysis role
• Experience of Decision Systems including at least one of: Blaze Advisor, Probe, SDS, Strategy Manager, Transact or Triad
• History of working within Financial Services â€" credit card experience an advantage
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills (preferably SQL and or SAS)

• A passionate attitude to work and the drive to form part of an organisation on track to change the retail banking sector
