FINTEC recruit is seeking a Contracts Engineer for our client lead in the subsea oil & gas sector based at Aberdeen.
The Contract Engineer can expect a competitive salary and benefits package includin! g medical, pension, bonus and relocation assistance. This is a staff position based in Aberdeenshire.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to the project team to ensure adherence to the requirements of the main contract.
- Ensure that all notifications to the client are issued within the timeframe set out
- Provide assistance to the Project Manager to produce the Project Execution Plan
- Preparation of standard terms and conditions of subcontract
- Preparation of "Invitation to Tender" packages
- Evaluation of tenders, negotiation with tenderers and preparation of "Recommendations of Award" for approval by the Project Manager and Senior Management.
- Assessment, negotiation and agreement of subcontractor variations and claims.
- Forecasting of cost at completion for major subcontractors and suppliers.
- Preparation and coordination of commercial/ contractual responses to.
- Commerce/Business qualification to degree! level (such as Quantity Surveying) or background in Project Engineering/ Construction Management in O&G industries
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as Contracts Engineer
- Sound understanding of the principles of contracts law and business ethics and the contractual/commercial principles adopted within the industry
- Basic knowledge of oil and gas standards/ regulations/procedures is preferred
