Our client a leading design and build contractor in the water industry are recruiting for an experienced project manager to work in Paisley or Edinburgh.
You will b! e responsible to manage the design, construction, commissioning and putting to work of contracts to ensure they are completed in the most efficient manner to the specification, within the time required and within the tender estimate without risk to the health and safety of all concerned while ensuring good customer satisfaction.
Duties/responsibilities of the role will include;
- Ensure average monthly T/O and G/M control are within project targets
- Ensure project costs do not exceed tender/varied allowance
- Ensure contract reviews, monthly forecasts are completed and submitted on time
- Ensure that equipment and materials are procured at best value within specifications
- Ensure the proper identification, notification and evaluation of variations and claims
- Maintain good client relationships at all levels; target: - C;goodD; rating feedback in each category from customer satisfaction questionnaire, less than o! ne customer complaint per quarter.
- Ensure projects ar! e completed on time; target: - zero overrun when EOT’s taken into account
- Maintain the Company’s reputation on a project by ensuring good relationships are maintained with joint venture partners and suppliers.
- Review and ensure the contract requirements are satisfied
- Co-ordinate the involvement of the internal service departments
- Establish and monitor the contract and progress programme and reports
- Establish and monitor the scope/contract change system
- Establish filing system to be used and monitor to ensure up to date
- Organise the timely production of O&M manuals
- Organise a contract performance review on completion and provide feedback
- Resolve Customer complaints and obtain Customer feedback on performance
- Minimise the exposure to risk by reviewing on a regular basis
- Co-ordinate and control of contract requirements relating to design
- Control the receipt, approval! and issue of contract related design documents
- Nominate the person to supervise the subcontracted design work
- Monitor and authorise the purchase requisitions
- Oversee the placement of purchase orders and sub-contracts
- Prepare and manage the procurement plan
- Monitor the progress of Applications for Payment to optimise Cash flow
- Manage the control of contract variations
- Ensure monthly trading reports are produced
- Review Project Performance on a monthly basis
- Manage the contract Gross Margin and turnover targets.
- Produce the contract final account
- Agree the contract site filing system
- Review and ensure the contract site requirements are satisfied
