Our client a volume main dealer in the Edinburgh area is currently look! ing to hire an experienced Technician for their busy Service Centre.
You will be responsible for performing vehicle repair, maintenance and diagnostics in accordance with dealer and manufacturer standards
o Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts, inform team leader if vehicle is awaiting parts and pursue special order of parts if necessary
o Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorised by customer
o Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
o Notify service consultants immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
o Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause and correction format
o Road-test vehicles to check work performed
o Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
o Attend factory sponsored training classes

You will ideally live within the Edinburgh area or be able to travel to the Edinburgh area and have a working experience of Vehicle Maintenance and be qualified to City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent, MOT Smart Card preferred
