My client is an industry leader in developing and delivering state of the art engineering software products and superi! or technical support to clients. They have an impressive, broad range of clients worldwide, including all major energy operators as well as service and contract companies.
You will be part of a deployment and engineering team which deploys a software product designed for using real-time data and physical models to guide the management of energy engineering projects. Activities include: Product deployment on client sites worldwide; deployment preparation; providing technical advice and support to clients; training client personnel worldwide. The role requires personal initiative and a pro-active commercial approach to developing the company’s business. The role involves worldwide travel circa 5-10 trips/annum normally lasting 7-10 days/trip. You will be able to operate in a deadline, results driven environment and will have excellent organisational skills.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Physical Sci! ence along with hands on system deployment & integration exper! ience, .NET C#, Microsoft SQL server 2005, 2008, Windows 2003, 2008 R2 and beyond, Data base administration and data base tuning. Ideally experience of engineering solutions.
The role will suit individuals currently working as a Software Implementation Consultant, Deployment Engineer, Software Project Manager, Delivery Manager, software Developer, Programmer and living within a commutable distance of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Scotland, UK or willing to relocate.
