Duties & Responsibilities
Main Function:
Review Offshore Inspection Engineer's Daily Reports and! advise on urgent / safety critical integrity issues when called upon by Asset SIE .
Attend daily integrity team meetings as requested by SIE/DTL, to identify safety and production critical plant equipment pressure containing components with anomalous areas which can give rise to loss of containment.
Fitness for service assessment (FFS) for anomalies identified during major and special inspections
Main Duties:
- Support the Functional Manager in the delivery of the pressure systems IIA scope/ service
- Review and complete Inspection Queries and review remedial orders where called upon by Asset SIE
- Formal Risk assessments where deemed necessary for extending remedial order completion dates and also planned inspections
- Develop (where appropriate) and maintain pressure systems documentation
- Review and assessment of proposed repairs to ensure compliance with remedial orders.
- Liaising with specialist c! ontractor for ad hoc modifications and also for proposed plant! and equipment modifications
- Comment on component specifications and engineering deviations/concessions
- Monitoring inspection and corrosion activities
- Review and endorsement of inspection strategies
- Review of HSE issues as generated by HSE engineers
- Mentoring and overseeing the work of the Pressure Systems Engineer
- Consults with approved external service providers for API 579/ASME FFS 1 Level 3 analysis - by means of specialist Finite element analysis of reported anomalies
- Support the activities of graduate engineers within the company i.e. advice, checking, approving etc.
- Ensure compliance with the companies and Clients HSEQ polices and systems.
- HND / BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- C.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Ability to travel offshore and / or oversea! s as required by company
- Competent user of Microsoft Office suite
