Background:
Smith and Nephew has a history dating back over 150 years to the family enterprise of Thomas James Smith who opened a small pharmacy in Hull, England in 1856. On his death in 1896, his nephew Horatio Nelson Smith took over the management of the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • To achieve sales targets by implementing the company's brand and sales strategy.
  • To agree a Territory Business Region Plan with your direct line manager and implement this on your territory.
  • To co! mmunicate and collaborate effectively with ASD/RM/CM to develop and execute business opportunities.
  • To use all sales and marketing support materials in full when dealing with customers.

  • To conduct product training sessions, hold clinical meetings and give product demonstrations where necessary to ensure correct use of products by customers.
  • To attend workshops, study days, exhibitions and sales conferences as agreed with your manager.
  • To be fully conversant with both your own products, and those of all major competitor products, being aware of their strengths and weaknesses, and to communicate all issues via end of period reports to your manager.
  • To constantly develop selling skills through ongoing development programs and field visits with ASD/RM/Training Department.
  • To communicate any potential business opportunities and market information for colleagues in other divisions.
  • To complete al! l account records, CRM and administration tasks within the agreed deadl! ines and to the standard set in the SOP.
Essential Skills:
Proven sales success
Experience of Healthcare sector desirable
Educated to degree level.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to interpret data.
Committed and hard working.
Self disciplined and self motivated.
