Our client is currently looking to recruit a property energy Solicitor to join their Glasgow Energy & Infrastructure te! am. They are ideally looking to recruit a candidate who has 2 to 3 years post qualification experience (or equivalent).
Background
They have one of the largest teams of dedicated property lawyers in the UK and one of the largest teams of property lawyers specialising in energy sector work.
Their clients include the developers, funders and investors involved in energy projects and our work involves not only the property elements of these projects but also the planning and environmental aspects including dealing with the regulatory authorities who grant consent for such projects.
The Candidate Required
The role requires lawyers who are technically excellent but, equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They are looking for a team player with a strong client focussed approach. Lawyers joining this team will encounter a broad range of energy property work and direct contact with clients right! from the start. They may also be involved in property work ac! ross a range of other sectors including minerals, waste and water and, if of interest, could become involved in the planning and environment work of the team including consenting major development projects (including housing, retail and mixed use projects).
The successful candidate will be Scottish qualified and will ideally have gained commercial property experience in a large regional / national practice. They will have a strong academic background and an outgoing personality. They will have at least 2 years of post qualification experience including, if possible, involvement in property energy work. In particular, the ideal candidate will have experience of onshore wind farm projects.
