Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity please read the description below. Core Assets Scotland is recruiting experienced Social Workers/Support Workers to cover the Argyll & Bute area.
Support Workers will carry out contact support directly with children and families.
Work will involve observing and supervising family contact, providing transport and/or escorting children and young people where necessary and appropriate, enabling parents and families to manage difficult behaviours and promote positive parenting.
No formal qualifications are needed bu! t applicants should have experience of working with children a! nd young people with complex behavioural issues and families as well as child protection knowledge.
Experience of family support and parenting work would also be desirable as would an NNEB qualification.
Due to the area of cover a full driving licence, good driving record and use of a comprehensively business insured vehicle are essential. Training for the role will be given.
Work is available on an 'as and when' basis, including days, evenings, weekends and school holidays.
Social Workers will undertake the following assessments within Supervised Contact:
• Parenting Capacity Assessment
• Kinship Care Assessment
• Sibling Assessment
• Quality of Contact & Impact on the Child Assessment
The frequency and duration of contacts vary depending on the family and the Care Plans therefore availability to work flexibly across geography and days/times of the week is essential
