PACT are excited to be supporting this nationwide brand in the search for a Senior Resource Planning Manager to join their operation based in Edinburgh. Reporting to the Head of Resource Planning and based within the senior leadership team, you will be part of a newly created centralised planning function responsible for delivering a consistent approach to long term planning and forecasting. Operating within a centralised function you will play a pivotal role in providing consistency and best practice in planning techniques including dynamic queue management and shrinkage applicati! on. With the right structure and deployment of tried and teste! d planning practices and systems, you will create a greater focus and consistency in managing business results and efficiency measures.Duties & Responsibilities
Act as the key contact for project teams, assessing any impacts to the business and Budget position, building any resource changes into plan as a result or hand over short term forecast impacts to other planning areas.
Accountable for the delivery of accurate long term demand forecast plans for all services, depicting the realistic scenarios that the business faces and highlighting risks to service, budget, and produce robust contingency plans to ensure risks are mitigated.
Take Ownership, production and maintenance of resource and recruitment plans, working with colleagues in Finance and HR to ensure plans are tracked and risks understood.
Ensure effective tracking and delivery of assumed synergy benefits and provide regular and ad-hoc financial reporting.
Contribute to the shaping and! execution of the business plans for all functions supported and attend each business area's senior manger's meetings and present supply and demand profile for agreement.
Pro-actively look for and encourage the team to identify cost saving opportunities or ways to improve service through detailed analysis of long term plans in the business through re-alignment of budget or colleagues.
Build and sustain a high performance culture by developing talented colleagues and creating a succession plan to maintain and develop future business growth.
Evening/Weekend working may be required on rotational basis. Flexibility in working patterns is expected to be able to respond to changing customer demands over time.
Lead a virtual team based across various sites and therefore travel will be required.
Key Skills & Experience
A highly experienced individual with a proven track record in a senior planning role, with experience of delivering great customer servi! ce and leading a team whilst achieving targets.
Knowledge and exper! ience of resource planning principles for multi-site and multi-services is required alongside an ability to generate creative solutions
An ambitious manager experienced in negotiation and influencing skills & advanced communication skills (oral and written).
Enthusiastic and adaptable manager capable of thriving in a new business with proven leadership of remote teams
Excellent stakeholder manager who will help to build strong relationships with other Business Units and senior leadership teams.
