The Scarinish Hotel is looking for enthusiastic, professional and proactive bar and waiting staff to work in our newly renovated bar and restaurant. The 60-cover table restaurant serves seasonal local cuisine to tourists and locals all year round.
The role involves:
- Reporting to Front of House Manager
- Serving alcoholic draught and bottled beverages from the bar.
- Taking food and drink orders and serving food to tables.
- Interacting with customers, hotel guests and locals, assessing their needs, and making their experience comfortable and enjoyable.
- Keeping the bar and restaurant area tidy, restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies
- Complying to alcohol sales, health, safety and allergy requirements.
The ideal candidate:
- Proven working experience as bar and/or restaurant staff.
- Works well in a busy environment, keeping a close attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and a warm, courteous and professional attitude to ensure our customers have a pleasant experience.
- Positive and proactive attitude to work
- Methodical and organised to keep the bar stocked and clean.
The Scarinish Hotel and restaurant are undergoing modernisation and new development. The hotel is situated right next to the beach and the small, sunny island offers surfing, swimming, live music events, outdoor walks and coastline views.
- Free accommodation on the island can be provided as part of the role
- This is a full-time position (40+ hours per week) at £11/hour
