The role is responsible for capital management across EMEA and providing support / guidance across APAC, supporting the APAC local treasury officer. This will involve collation of capital plans, capital infusion and dividends across the EMEA and APAC region. Leading the firms ICAAP and co-ordination across the global operations to ensure consistency of capital risk assessment. Keep abreast of prudential regulatory developments and support regulatory compliance officers as necessary in review and comments on evolving regulation.
Review and understand of regulatory capital returns across the region. Lead the EMEA and co-ordinate the APAC Seed Capital planning including Group Capital Committee approval and seed redemptions strategies. Provide secretariat to the EMEA Capital Committee. Key Responsibilities: • Subject matter expert on capital management including both economic and regulatory capital matters across EMEA and APAC. • EMEA Capital Plan including capital infusions and dividends and overseas APAC plans rolling up to the US Group level. • ICAAP â€" project management, content, review and distribution • Responsible for the firms Basel II Pillar 3 Disclosure • Keep abreast and up to date with developments on prudential regulation and in particular capital management.
• Co-ordinate and lead the seed capital process â€" liaising with senior executives as necessary • Review, prepare and update the EMEA Capital Policy • Review regulatory capital submission across EMEA. • Completion of data for FSA019 for annual submission • Contribute to the firms lobbying activity with respect to prudential risks as necessary. • Provide other areas of the firm with the regulatory capital view on project work (including entity rationalisations, dividend policy and restructuring) • Responsible for 1 FTE responsible for ICAAP project management, capital and seed planning • Leverage relationships with external advisors to facilitate the above Knowledge/Experience: • Experienced Treasury Professional. • Exposure to, understanding of and preferably first hand experience of ICAAP and SREP.
• Understanding of financial reporting • Understanding and knowledge of FSA regulatory framework and capital calculations is essential • Experience in European regulatory and legal frameworks (CRD and UCITS) is preferred • Ability to clearly and confidently communicate in verbal and written form, with all levels of the business Skills/Qualifications: • Professional qualification of ACT/CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA advantageous with a strong academic record essential Competencies: • Self starter, quick learner, team player, with an ability to adjust to change and the desire to take on responsibility is required • Organised and methodical, possessing attention to detail, ability to work under pressure within very tight deadlines is a must.
