Job Description Forklift Operator / Base Operative
Duties include Receiving goods in and checking materials
P! reparing, loading and shipping outbound cargo
Unloading Containers and preparing equipment for backload to vendors
General Yard work including slinging/bundling pipe, and various crane and FLT duties
General warehouse and yard tidiness.
Ensure safe-working practices at all times.
Participate in toolbox talks as and when required â€" ensuring all relevant personnel are fully aware of the job task prior to commencement of work.
Empowered to “stop the job†if an action is considered unsafe and report to line supervisor.
Comply with the procedures regarding the loading and unloading of Trailers.
Ensure effective communications with Line Supervisor as and when required.
Assist with the backload cargo dispatch process ensuring cargo backload managed and dispatched according to company procedures.
Comply with all relevant company work instructions and procedures for each job function. Sug! gest any improvements to improve service delivery and amend wo! rk instructions.
Requirements Forklift Operator / Base Operative
Previous knowledge & experience of cargo operations, loading / unloading of trailers
Previous Experience and forklift Licence up to 12 ton
Banksman Slinger preferred but not essential
Basic Oil Industry knowledge
Basic Computer Knowledge but training will be giving
