A vacancy has arisen for Therapy Assistants to work with patients with learning disabilities and brain injuries who have underlying mental health issues.
The successful candidates will provide assistance to professional and clinical staff with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of therapy and care plans, which can include personal care, in order to support the mental emotional, physical and social well-being of patients.
Successful candidates will assist trained staff with group and one-to-one occupational, therapeutic and recreational activities.
The successful applicants will be able to work within a team or on their own initiative, be hard working and reliable, demonstrate enthusiasm, be flexible and able to adapt to challenging situations. In addition, the successful applicant will have effective communication skills, be caring in nature and willing to learn.
